Hellboy 2: the Golden Army

I got high and watched this with my little brother last night. It took us back to the first time we saw it: last Christmas eve, when my dad asked for it on DVD and we watched it at his house. I had forgotten a bunch of things about it, like that since Hellboy is the son of Satan he smokes cigars and drinks beers in the shower, and the emotional musical montage where “Beautiful Freak” by the Eels plays. When the Elven prince summons the elemental in New York, my brother said “That’s not like any forest god I’ve met.” It was really sad when Hellboy killed him. The movie still sucks, too.
